The E class can be described as a fixed star in the Mercedes sky, it is one of the most important series of the vehicle manufacturer from Stuttgart and must prove itself regularly in the showdown with Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series. The 4th generation of the E-Class came on the market in 2009 and impressed the clientele with lavish comfort and sophisticated security. Even then, the assistance systems paved the way for autonomous driving. Mercedes relied on downsizing in terms of engines, significantly to reduce the fleet consumption. Even the top variant AMG 63 does not miss the economy measure. The 6.3 L naturally aspirated engine of the predecessor gives way to a 5.5 L twin turbo. Performance and driving dynamics the AMG has not lost under any circumstances. We designed the engine specific software for the E63 and testet it on the dyno.
